There are five date formats that are supported by Esendex, and your default date property will be displayed in a format based on your country setting (i.e. US will have the default: mm/dd/yyyy).

Supported date formats

yyyy/mm/dd hh:nn:ss
Year – Month – Day
Example: “1991/09/26 ” would be equal to “26th of September 1991”.

dd/mm/yyyy hh:nn:ss
Day – Month – Year
Example: “26/09/1991” would be equal to “26th of September 1991”.

mm/dd/yyyy hh:nn:ss
Month – Day – Year
Example: “09/26/1991” would be equal to “26th of September 1991”.

RFC3339
Year-Month-Day time
Example: 2016-10-06T13:39:54Z

Epoch and EpochMS
Seconds
Example: 1475761194000

Please note: The time format (hh:nn:ss) is optional. If a date property is added without time, the default time (00:00:00) will be added to the property.

The supported separators between the year, month and day are:

• Dash “-”
• Dot ”.”
• Forward slash “/”
• The separator for time is the colon “:”

When importing your contacts (via a file or copy/paste), Esendex will scan the date values using the patterns listed below and choose the closest format from the three supported formats (yyyy/mm/dd, dd/mm/yyyy, mm/dd/yyyy).

Note: Use only one Date format when importing your contacts. If there is more than one Date format is found, an error will occur.
