Voice messages

An admin user can control the use of voice messages on the account and its functionality by clicking into the ‘Sending settings’ page.

Voice settings

Under ‘General’ settings you can allow or disallow voice messages to be sent through your account, which will apply to all users on the account.

In ‘Landlines’ you can allow or prevent your SMS messages from being sent as a voice message to landlines. This is helpful if you want to avoid calls being made late at night.

Once the call is answered ‘Menu’ allows you to choose if an options menu plays before your message.

 

It is worth noting that Voice SMS doesn’t have the capability to detect answer machines. This means the message will begin to play as soon as the answer machine connects and so only part of the message will be recorded by it.
